Simple inexpensive thematic mapping for Macintosh.
Extracts data directly from open Excel and FileMaker Pro 4, 5 or 6 windows.
Can count, sum or average items from an address or other list.
Reads comma separated value (CSV) text files easily created by spreadsheets and databases.
AppleScript recordable and scriptable.
Creates maps with the following boundaries (produced by the US Census Bureau for Census 2000):
- 5-digit ZIP Code Tabulation Area (ZCTA)
- 3-digit ZCTA
- County
- County Subdivision
- Place
- Census Tract
- Census Block Group
- 107th Congressional District (before redistricting)
- 108th Congressional District (current districts)
- Voting District (1999)
Maps have the following options:
- four classification methods (Equal Counts, Equal Ranges, Natural Breaks and Custom)
- specifiable category count
- ten color schemes (Rust, Brick, Clover, Slate, Midnight, Mocha, Plum, Raspberry, Gray, Custom)
- show or hide location names and outlines
- specifiable font and size for location names
- modifiable legend
Maps can be printed or exported as PICT files containing vector polygon objects.
